Searching content
Content search provides powerful filtering capabilities to help you quickly find specific content in JustAsk. With search facets, you can narrow down results by various criteria.
Accessing search
Section titled “Accessing search”To access content search, click the search bar at the top of the page:

Search results
Section titled “Search results”When you search, only content that you have access to will be returned with a maximum of 25 items. To see the full set of results, do one of the following:
- Press Enter with no result highlighted
- Click the full-screen button in the dialog’s footer
Both actions open the full search page with your current search text and facets applied. They also work when your search returns no results or while results are still loading.
If you open a result from your search, or go to the full search page, and then use your browser’s back button, content search reopens with the same query and facets you had applied.
Refining results with facets
Section titled “Refining results with facets”Content search supports the following facets, which you can combine to refine your search:
creator:
Filter results to content created by a specific user.
Example: creator:john shows content created by users named John.
in:
Filter results to content directly inside a specific folder, scoping your search to a particular area of your content hierarchy.
Example: in:Marketing
label:
Filter results to content with a specific label attached. Unlike other facets, you can add multiple label: facets to a single search. Content matching any of the applied labels is returned.
Example: label:Marketing shows content tagged with the Marketing label. label:Marketing label:Verified shows content tagged with either the Marketing or Verified label.
type:
Filter results by content type. Supported types: dashboard, workbook, folder.
Example: type:dashboard shows only dashboards.
favorited:
Filter results to content favorited by a specific user. This helps you find content that you or your colleagues have marked as important.
Example: favorited:jane
verified:
Filter results by verification status. To be verified, the content must have a label with the Verified option applied.
Example: verified:true shows only verified content; verified:false shows only unverified content.
hub:
Filter results by space: hub:true for content in the org’s Shared space, hub:false for content in the user’s Personal space. If your organization has renamed these spaces, the facet’s suggested options use those names instead of the defaults.
Example: hub:true shows only content from the Shared space; hub:false shows only content from the Personal space.
sort:
Set the sort order of results on the full search page. Applying or removing this facet replaces the page’s current sort. A Relevance option is only suggested when your search includes text.
Example: sort:age-desc sorts results from newest to oldest.
Using facets in search
Section titled “Using facets in search”To use search facets, type the facet name followed by a colon in the search box. As you type, JustAsk will suggest relevant options based on the facet type. You can combine multiple facets to create precise search queries.
Each facet type accepts a single value, except label:, which you can repeat to match content with any of the applied labels.
For example, to find all verified dashboards created by a specific user in your Marketing folder, you could search for:
type:dashboard creator:jane in:Marketing verified:trueFacet examples
Section titled “Facet examples”type:workbook verified:true label:Salesfavorited:jane in:Productcreator:Jane Smithtype:dashboard hub:true label:Sales
